As a result of specific circumstances this year, West Cheshire AC regretfully announce that Chester Round the Walls Boxing Day race will not take place this year.
We would like to make it clear that this does not affect their intention to keep organising the historic and popular event in future years. At 44 years old, the Chester Round the Walls race is one of the oldest races in the country and is regularly over-subscribed, in no small part due to its near unique geographical location and place on the calendar.

West Cheshire AC would like to thank all previous participants and helpers, and hope that they will remain patient and still support the event in future years.

WEST CHESHIRE celebrated a double success story at the Chester Marathon and Metric Marathon.

Rosemary Rogers won the over 65 womens prize after completing the 26.2 miles course in a time of four hours eight minutes 57 seconds, setting a club over-50 age group record in the process.

And David Bish secured top spot in his over 70 mens age group with a time of 2:47:09 in the 26km event.

David Tait grabbed third position in his over 45 mens age group after clocking 2:57:51 in the 26.2 miles race, ahead of Sarah Hughes who was 79th in her over-40 age group in a time of 4:43:14.

Jack Gannon (60th in 1:55:20), Lorraine McFaul (436th in 2:32:47), and Mark Povey (38th in over 45 age group in 2:25:16) completed the 26km race.

Peter Smith represented West Cheshire at the Congleton Half Marathon – his first-ever 13.1 miles race – and finished 309th in 1:53:08.

DAVE ALEXANDER finished second in his age group at the opening round of the North Wales Cross Country League.

Dave headed the West Cheshire charge in the mens race at Bangor for 16th position, ahead of Andrew Clague in 51st. Anest Muller finished 23rd in the womens race. Daniel Pace (eighth in 15:40) completed the under 13 boys event.

WEST CHESHIRE AC duo Harvey Tegg and Lucia Pyne both finished second in their respective races at the annual Wirral Schools Cross Country Race held at Arrowe park.

Harvey represented Wirral Grammar in the year eight boys race and Lucia (West Kirby Grammar), was second in the year seven girls race ahead of West Cheshire team mates, fifth-placed Abigail Cartwright (Wirral Girls), and Lucy Baxter (West Kirby) who was sixth.

BOB FREEMAN of West Cheshire AC secured third place in 20:07 at the Ellesmere Port Park Run, ahead of Liam Farrell (10th in 21:52), and Aaron Scott (26th in 24:55).

ETHAN GREENLAND (fourth in a new personal best of 18:07) was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Delamere Park Run.

He was backed up by Graham Wells (seventh in a new pb of 18:34), Jeff McQueen (11th in 19:20), Rory Willson (18th in 20:21), Harri Britton (32nd in 21:52), Sion Roberts (38th in 22:24), Charlie Clarke (58th in 23:38), and Kay Hayes (142nd in 27:43).

ENTRIES are now being accepted for the Northern Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Under 17, 20 and Senior fixture will be held at Sheffield on January 16 and 17, with entries closing on December 18; and the Under 13 and 15 event will be held at Sheffield on Sunday, February 7, with entries closing on January 22.

THE 2015 Chester Round The Walls Race, organised by West Cheshire AC on Boxing Day, has been cancelled.

FIXTURES this weekend include the opening round of the Manchester Area Cross Country League at Woodbank Park, Stockport, on Saturday (12.15pm start), with no under 11 races.

The first round of the North West Sportshall Athletics League takes place at Kingsway Leisure Centre, Widnes, on Sunday (12.30pm start), and the opening round of the Borders Road Running League takes place this Sunday, hosted by Ellesmere Port Running Club at Capenhurst (11am start).

THE dates for the popular West Cheshire AC Schools Cross Country Race Series at the Stanney Oaks Track, Ellesmere Port, are: Saturdays, October 17; November 21; February 6; and February 27, all with a 10am start, and entries will be taken on the day.

Car parking at the track will be severely restricted for one week whilst the final stages of the new car park are complete. The positive is we will have over a hundred additional spaces once the new car park is open which will either be Friday 9th October or Monday 12th October. We advise parents to drop off Under 11 year olds at Stanney and pick up after training at 8pm.
Tim Durrant has already advised the middle distance group to meet at the Next store car park at 6.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday to ease use of Stanney car parking; alternative car parking places are available, such as the Coliseum Car Park by the Vue Cinema, and the M&S Car Park which are within short walking distance of the track, but please check about car park timing restrictions.

HARVEY TEGG pointed West Cheshire AC to success at the first cross country fixture of the season. Harvey was third in the under 13 boys race at the opening round of the North Staffs League held at Winsford, posting a time of 13 minutes 21 seconds. He was backed up by team mates Isaac Tait (ninth in 13:42), and Ethan Butler (16th in 14:14), to earn their club top spot in the team competition.

Other West Cheshire under 13 finishers included Charlie Potts (20th in 14:29), Matthew Douglass (25th in 14:34), Dylan Bugg (32nd in 15:12), and Ivor Smith (58th in 21:07).

Tamsin O’Keefe secured third spot with a time of 8:21 in the under 13 girls race, ahead of Lucia Pyne (ninth in 8:41), Molly Jones (16th in 9:08), Hollie Jones (22nd in 9:14), and Abigail Cartwright (31st in 9:31), to earn West Cheshire second team position.

Jac Goodall (ninth in 15:12) headed the WCAC charge in the under 15 boys race, ahead of Sion Roberts (12th in 15:34), Alex Mason (21st in 16:16), Rory Willson (27th in 16:44), Patrick Tait (32nd in 17:21), and Oliver Dandy (41st in 18:49), while Adam Carlile finished the under 17 mens race in a time of 23:38 for 20th position

Imogen Pughe (12th in 6:53), Carys Roberts (18th in 7:03), and Nina Willson (59th in 9:00) combined for West Cheshire in the under 11 girls race, while Henry Robinson (10th in 8:41), Charlie McMullan (13th in 8:53), Fergus Garland (24th in 9:12) represented West Cheshire in the under 11 boys race.

Beth McMahon (27th in 16:13), Lily Moorhouse (33rd in 17:02), and Lauren Moore (37th in 17:53), completed the under 15 girls event, and Katie Clarke (seventh in 17:16) finished the under 17 womens race.

Ellie Robinson (34th in 24:22) and Anne-Marie Tait (100th in 27:38) completed the womens race, while Dave Alexander headed the West Cheshire mens charge, finishing 23rd in 38:55, supported by Andrew Clague (73rd in 42:04), Bob Benson, second in his over 60 age group in his first-ever North Staffs League appearance, and second season doing cross-country at all. He is trying to get more of our seniors involved – leading by example! (167th in 47:08), and Peter Smith (255th in 54:35).

EMILY BALL, George Hyde and Isobel Griffin Morris made it a hat-trick of victories for West Cheshire AC at the Final Flings Meeting staged at Wrexham. Ball produced a new personal best of 12.56m to win the under 20 womens shot put competition and finished second in the discus with 37.67m, while Hyde powered his way to success in the under 15 boys shot with a put of 14.69, and Griffin Morris spun the under 17 womens discus to a winning mark of 38.88m.

Evie Tipping hit 8.30m for third spot in the under 13 girls shot, and hit new personal bests in the discus (22.59m) and hammer (21.12m), and Will Scott hit a new personal best in the under 15 boys hammer with 19.51m.

ANDREW CLAGUE (10th in 2:12:20) of West Cheshire completed the Sandstone Trail A Race, ahead of Ian Gloyne-Phillips (13th in 2:15:58), Andrew Carter (73rd in 2:36:48), Mark Davies (79th in 2:38:12), while Lisa Davies (58th in 1:36:54) completed the B race.

BOB BENSON won the overall over 60 mens title after the final round of the Wirral Multi Terrain League Series. Bob finished the final round at Arrowe Park, Birkenhead in 97th position with a time of 31:07 to clinch his age group title.

He was joined at the fixture by Mark Davies (18th in 27:05), Jeff McQueen (31st in 27:45), Andrew Clague (40th in 28:17), Andrew Carter (52nd in 29:09), Ian Gloyne-Phillips (57th in 29:20), George Dewhurst (138th in 33:35), Mark Povey (186th in 37:22), and Dave Brierley (204th in 44:45), while Anest Muller finished 36th with 35:22 in the womens race, and Anna Crayston (third in 16:59) and Hollie Jones (fifth in 18:31) completed the junior girls race.

SEVERAL West Cheshire Athletic Club members have posted relay success.

Harvey Tegg (10 minutes 25 seconds), teamed up with Isaac Tait (10:36)and Charlie Potts (11:18) to earn West Cheshire under 13 boys gold medals in the Cheshire Road Relay Championships and third spot overall in the North West Road Relays Championships, which were held at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk.

The West Cheshire under 13 boys trio were supported in their race by Ethan Butler (11:29), Matthew Douglass (11:47) and William Wright(11:20) who finished 15th overall and fourth in the Cheshire Championship.

Ethan Greenland (18:27), Cameron Bradley (21:53) and Adam Carlile(20:33) combined for third place in the Cheshire under 17 mens race and 14th spot overall, while Hollie Jones (12:12), Lucia Pyne (11:38) and Molly Jones (12:06) earned third spot in the Cheshire Championships and
ninth position in the North West event.

Sonny Dean (10:08), Sion Roberts (10:28) and Jac Goodall (10:20) secured fourth place in the Cheshire Under 15 boys event and ninth place overall, while Dave Dentith (11:04), Rory Willson (11:19) and Patrick Tait (12:03) finished sixth in Cheshire and 20th overall.

Ellie Robinson (22:14), Lisa Davies (23:25) and Heather McLintock(22:11) finished fifth in Cheshire and 28th overall in the womens race, while Ann Marie Tait (25:13) and Ellen McMahon (25:20) were part of an incomplete team and Beth McMahon posted 12:32 in West Cheshire under 15
girls’ incomplete team.

Mark Davies (18:23), David Tait (19:14), Andrew Clague (19:24), and Ian Gloyne-Philips (18:44) finished fourth in Cheshire and 38th overall in the mens race, while Andrew Carter (19:14), Bob Benson (21:29), John Collings (23:25) and Peter Smith (24:30) combined for eighth spot in the
Cheshire event and 66th place overall.

ABIGAIL PAWLETT was crowned under 13 girls Cheshire Junior Pentathlon champion at Macclesfield. The all-rounder clocked a new sprint hurdles personal best of 11.2
seconds, and was joined at the event by Emily Misantoni, who was joint third, Anna Crayston, who posted a new long jump best, Lauren Jones, and Abigail Cartwright.

Finn Bowyer and Alex Mason combined for West Cheshire AC in the under 15 boys pentathlon, while Evie Tipping was represented in the under 15 girls competition, while Ivor Smith posted new long jump and 100m bests alongside Adam Howe in the under 13 boys event.

ISOBEL GRIFFIN MORRIS completed her season in style at the Liverpool Jumps and Throws Meeting. The West Cheshire Athletic Club thrower spun the discus to a new
personal best mark of 41.20m to win the under 17 womens competition, and was joined at the fixture by Emily Ball and Sophie Percival.

DAVID TAIT was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Wirral Half-marathon, where he posted 86 minutes 20 seconds for 26th position, ahead of Robert Freeman (40th in 88:56), Ben McKean (87th in 95:17), and Rosemary Rogers (306th in 1:50:17).

ROB LITTLE represented West Cheshire AC at the Lake Vyrnwy Half-marathon where he posted 85 minutes 53 seconds for 75th position. He was joined at the race by Jack Gannon (104th in 88:25), Joe Foy (131st in 90:19), and Vince Hodges (320th in 1:41:50).

BOB FREEMAN (seventh in 20:00) was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Ellesmere Port parkrun, ahead of Chris Weedall (12th in 20:53) and Dave Bish (29th in 25:49), while Charlie Weaver (ninth in a new personal best of 20:18) was the first West Cheshire AC finisher at Delamere parkrun, ahead of Harri Britton (29th in 21:45), and Kay Hayes (105th in 26:38).

JAMES McMAHON and Maisie Tipping will represent Cheshire at the English Schools Combined Events Championship Final at Bedford this weekend.

FIXTURES this weekend include the Guilden Sutton Six 10k Road Race near Chester, being organised by West Cheshire AC on Sunday (11am start), and a 1.5 miles fun run which starts at 12.15pm.

The final round of the Wirral Multi Terrain League Series takes place on Tuesday, (September 23), from Arrowe Park, (6.30pm start).

GEORGE HYDE capped his season with a personal best performance at the Stanney Oaks Athletics Track.

The talented West Cheshire AC thrower, who was crowned England Athletics Under 15 shot put champion at Bedford last week, hit a grade one mark of 15.93m to win the shot at the final round of the Cheshire Track and Field League.

Hyde, who is second for his age group in the UK shot put ranking list, rounded off a memorable year which has featured a silver medal at the English Schools Championships and a gold medal at the recent Northern Inter Counties Championships.

He was joined at Stanney by Will Scott who won the B shot competition with a put of 8.33m, while Dave Dentith (2:22.7), Alex Mason (2:23.7), Sonny Dean (2:25.2), and Tristan McFarlane (2:26.2) finished first, second, third and fifth respectively in the under 15 boys 800m race.

Charlie Douglas cleared a winning height in the high jump and won his 100m race in 12.9 seconds, backed up by Jack Weaver (13.1), Jacob Simmonds (13.3), and Ewan Brandon (13.5).

Michael Ozoemelam (13.0) won the under 13 boys 100m A race and achieved a grade one long jump of 4.71m for victory. He was supported by Michael Maxwell who won the B long jump with 3.86m, while Charlie Hyde (first with 23.79m) and Alfie Baker (second B with 10.88m) competed in the javelin, and Tom Weaver (14.8), Nathan Partington (14.0) and Adam Howe (14.3) ran in the 100m.

Harvey Tegg (second in 5:02.3), Isaac Tait (5:09.6), Dylan Bugg (5:17.6), Ethan Butler (5:18.2), Liam Farrell (5:23.3), and Michael Douglas (5:25.3) completed the 1500m.

Uzezi Onomericke (11.4), Joe Hall (13.2), George Hall (12.3), and Zac Dean (12.2) teamed up in the under 11 boys 75m, while Dean (1:56.2), Jamie Richards (1:57.7), Charlie McMullan (2:01.4), and Henry Robinson (2:09.8) completed the 600m.

Alice Barnsley won the under 17 womens long jump with 4.23m, while Ethan Greenland clocked 4:38.9 for second spot in the under 17 mens 1500m.

Emma Howe (29.0), Erin Stuart (28.1), Beth McMahon (30.1), and Lily O’Gorman (31.1) combined in the under 15 girls 200m, alongside Maisie Tipping who long jump 4.27m, while Lauren Moore (2:59.0) and Lauren Jamieson (3:09.0) rounded the 800m.

Abigail Pawlett cleared a grade one height of 1.42m for success in the under 13 girls high jump alongside B winner Lauren Jones (1-25m), and Pawlett (8.66m) teamed up with Evie Tipping (8.32m) for a double success story in the shot put.

Emily Misantoni (28.2), Pawlett (28.9), Anna Crayston (29.7), and Tamsin O’Keefe (30.1) combined in the under 13 girls 200m, while O’Keefe (first in 2:31.3), Crayston (third in 2:35.5), Lucia Pyne (second B in 2:47.4), and Hollie Jones (third B in 2:48.4) completed the 800m.

Stephanie Jones (3.44m) and Fatoumatta Bojang (2.77m) combined for success in the under 11 girls long jump, and Lara Battersby (13.04m) and Imogen Pughe (11.52m) scored top marks in the soft javelin.

Kate Braley (11.6), Battersby (11.6), Jones (12.1), and Bojang (12.3) ran in the 75m, and Pughe (2:04.6), Battersby (2:07.4), Braley (2:08.6), and Jones (2:09.2), rounded the 600m.

George Dewhurst won the mens 1500m in 4:51.1, ahead of Scott Williams (5:12.8), Julian Tegg (5:31.7), and Bob Benson (5:33.3), while Alan Littler was second in the long jump (5.02m) and third in the B shot (5.03m) alongside Richard Farley (5.74m), and Mark Hearn (25.0) and Farley (25.1) competed in the 200m.

Ellie Robinson clocked 2:42.1 in the womens 800m and 12:00.7 in the 3,000m alongside winner Mark Davies (10:12.5), Andrew Carter (11:02.3), Williams (11:37.9), Tegg (11:53.9), Benson (12:02.8), Lisa Davies (12:45.0) and Peter Smith (13:29.4).

BOB FREEMAN was fifth with a new personal best of 19:45 at the Ellesmere Port Park Run.

He was joined by other West Cheshire finishers Liam Farrell (17th in 22:04), while Chris Weedall (eighth in a new best of 20:08), was West Cheshire’s first finisher at the Delamere Park Run, ahead of Charlie Weaver (12th in 21:01), Rory Willson (14th in 21:05), Mike Perchard (77th in 25:36), Adam Carlile (103rd in 26:59), and Graham Wells (165th in 30:46).

West Cheshire AC has been promoted to the Youth Development League Premier Division; the North of England League Division One for the first time-ever; and our mens and womens Borders Road Running League teams both won promotion to Division One.

West Cheshire AC has organised four hugely successful road race promotions; five West Cheshire AC members medalled at the English Schools Track & Field Championships; several West Cheshire AC members have represented their country; and George Hyde has just won a national title!

Tickets for the night of celebration are limited, so they will be sold at club training sessions on a first come, first served basis, at £5 per head, which will include a three-course buffet, disco, and a bar.

GEORGE HYDE has powered his way to a national title.
The West Cheshire AC thrower won the England Athletics Championships Under 15 boys shot title at Bedford with a put of 15.64m. The victory arrives just seven days after he won the shot put title for Cheshire at the Northern Inter Counties Championships held in Blackburn with a new personal best throw of 15.65m which has ranked him third in the UK for his age group.

Emma Howe pocketed a bronze medal at Bedford in the under 15 girls javelin with a throw of 39.55m and is now ranked third in the UK with her personal best of 43.07m.

Hyde and Howe were two of nine West Cheshire AC members who represented Cheshire at Blackburn.

Will Rattray spun the under 15 boys 1.25kg discus to a winning distance of 35.81m, while Georgia Barlow secured third and fourth places respectively with times of 12.77 seconds in the under 17 womens 100m, and a seasons best of 41.53 seconds in the 300m.

Cameron Weaver rounded the under 17 mens 3000m in a new personal best time of 9:22.01 for fourth place, while Dominick Duggan clocked 11.68 seconds for fifth spot in the under 17 mens B 100m, and Sam Paton posted 12.86 seconds for fifth place in the under 15 boys B 100m.

Emma Howe hit a new personal best of 9.37m in the under 15 girls shot put, while Maisie Tipping posted a winning time of 12.29 seconds in the under 15 girls B 75m hurdles, and Ewan Bradley clocked 13.09 seconds for sixth place in the under 15 boys 80m hurdles.

EMILY MISANTONI and Anna Crayston secured first and second places at the Stockport Quadrathlon.

Misantoni hit a new best of 7.83m in the shot, a new 100m best of 13.7 seconds, long jumped 4.34m, and rounded the 800m in a time of 2:29.7 for 257 points, while Crayston hit a new best of 5.92m in the shot, a new 100m best of 13.9 seconds, long jumped 4.40m, and posted 2:33.7 in the 800m for 232 points.

BOB FREEMAN and Dave Bish represented West Cheshire AC and celebrated age group victories at the Ellesmere 10k Road Race.

Freeman posted 40 minutes 59 seconds to win the over 60 mens prize, and Bish won the over 70 mens prize with a time of 54:46.

Rob Little was first home for West Cheshire AC, posting 37:51 for 36th position, and Mary Radford clocked 65:14.

MARK DAVIES (second in a new personal best of 18 minutes 38 seconds) was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Ellesmere Port parkrun.

He was joined at the Whitby Park 5k event by Bob Freeman who finished sixth in a new best of 19:47, ahead of Harvey Tegg (10th in a new best of 20:33), Bob Benson (14th in a new best of 21:25), Liam Farrell (19th in 22:40), Rosemary Rogers (third lady and 24th overall in 23:48), Abigail Cartwright (sixth lady and 31st overall in 24:57), and Dave Bish (40th in a new best of 26:23).

JAC GOODALL (10th in 19:48) was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Delamere parkrun, ahead of Jeff McQueen (19th in 20:55), Rory Willson (44th in 22:52), Peter Smith (74th in a new best of 24:44), Tom Finn (109th in 26:09), and Adam Carlile (172nd in 29:44).

WEST CHESHIRE AC seniors will compete in the top flight of the Northern League next year.

The Stanney Oaks-based squad have been crowned North of England Track and Field League Division Two champions after winning the Promotion Match at Doncaster.

The purple-vested outfit, who were crowned Division Two West title winners earlier this month, will now prepare during the winter months for life in Division One for the first time ever.

Team managers Dave McKay and Jenny Manning were delighted to see the squad celebrate having failed to achieve promotion in the past despite winning six consecutive Division Two West titles.

McKay played a key role in helping his club secure success by appearing in no fewer than seven events which featured a winning throw of 60.67m in the javelin, alongside Mike Lyness, who pocketed vital points from six events.

Road runners Bob Benson, Andrew Clague, Anest Muller, and Lisa Davies also played pivotal roles on the track.

And the day was concluded in style when Danielle Erskine, Shona Valentine, Olivia Montez-Brown, and Victoria Smith teamed up to clock a winning time of four minutes 21.2 seconds in the 4x400m relay.

GEORGIA BARLOW and Cameron Weaver represented Cheshire at the Northern Inter Counties Track and Field Championships at Blackburn.

The West Cheshire pair both achieved places in the frame, with Barlow finishing third overall in the under 17 womens 100m and third in the 300m with a new seasons best time of 41.5 seconds, and Weaver clocking a winning under 17 mens 3000m time of 9:23:28.

BOB FREEMAN of West Cheshire AC posted 40 minutes 42 seconds for 66th spot at the Birchwood 10k in Warrington, and Rosemary Rogers won the over 65 womens prize with a time of 50:31, ahead of Mark Povey (469th in 53:26), and Peter Povey (940th in 94:27).

Freeman also headed West Cheshire AC\\\’s squad at the Ellesmere Port Park Run, clocking a new personal best time of 19 minutes 53 seconds for fourth position.

He was joined by Harvey Tegg (eighth in 21:20), Rory Willson (13th in 21:53), Rosemary Rogers (second lady and 20th overall in a new best time of 23:42), Clare Mallon (fourth lady and 25th overall in a new best of 23:58), Abigail Cartwright (fifth lady and 29th overall in 24:53), Harley Shakespeare (36th in 26:18), and Aaron Scott (41st in 27:11).

ISAAC TAIT was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Delamere Park Run, posting a new personal best time of 20:51 for 19th position, ahead of Sion Roberts (20th in the same time), Anna Crayston (sixth lady and 55th overall in 23:36), Beth McMahon (10th lady and 64th overall in a new best of 24:31), Molly Jones (15th lady and 85th overall in 25:53), Hollie Jones (16th lady and 88th overall in 25:58), Mike Perchard (111th in 26:40), Ellen McMahon (28th lady and 119th overall in a new best of 26:49), Kay Hayes (42nd lady and 153rd overall in 29:10), Patrick Tait (246th overall in 34:11), and Anne-Marie Tait (125th lady and 280th overall in 39:08).

THREE West Cheshire Athletic Club members are celebrating podium places. Emily Misantoni, Emma Howe and Georgia Barlow all secured medals at the Northern Track and Field Championships held at Middlesbrough Sports Village.

Misantoni was crowned under 13 girls 800m champion after clocking two minutes 25.16 seconds, six tenths of a second in front of her nearest rival Natasha Stephenson, from Gateshead.

Howe launched the javelin to a winning mark of 36.13m to earn the under 15 girls title, ahead of Bobbie Griffiths Morpeth, with 35.69m, and Caitlin Illingworth (City of Sheffield) in third spot with 30.33m.

And Barlow returned home with two bronze medals from the under 17 womens 100m and 200m.

She clocked a best for this season of 25.62 seconds in the 200m to finish less than a second behind the eventual winner, and posted 12.53 seconds for third spot in the 100m.
Adam Howe was the other West Cheshire youngster in action, clocking 29.05 seconds for seventh position in the under 13 boys 200m.

CAMERON WEAVER and Ethan Greenland secured first and second places at the Delamere Park Run with times of 17:27 and 18:10 respectively.

They were joined at the event by Charlie Weaver (35th in 22:25); Beth McMahon (15th lady and 85th overall in 24:57); and Ellen McMahon (40th lady and 146th overall in 28:37).

BOB FREEMAN was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Ellesmere Port Park Run, posting 20:12 for fifth spot, ahead of Bob Benson (18th in 21:34); Rosemary Rogers (seventh lady and 32nd overall in 23:55); Clare Mallon (ninth lady and 35th overall in 24:32); and Peter Smith (36th in 24:35).
