West Cheshire ACs ladies squad of Lisa Ayling, Leslie Billingsley, Angela Cook, Ruth Hetherington, Sacha Kendall-Woods, Kath Osborne, Mary Radford, Rebecca Williams and Julie Wood have won promotion to the Borders Road Running League Division One for next season.

Amy Williams secured a memorable medal haul in West Cheshire ACs record-breaking appearance at the two-day Cheshire County AA Track and Field Championships.The multi-talented Chester and Ellesmere Port club member claimed both the Best Female Track and Field Performance Awards during the event held at Macclesfield.
Amy clocked a new West Cheshire AC under 13 girls club record of 11.8 seconds to pocket a gold medal in the 70m hurdles, and she achieved 5.10m to win the long jump to smash a county record of 4.61m that had stood for 10 years, and equal her own club record performance.
Amy returned home with a collection of five gold medals after also winning the 80m in 11.1 seconds, the 150m in 20.5 seconds, and the high jump with a grade one clearance of 1-38m.
Kelly Baker, Olivia Montez-Brown, and James McMahon also achieved Championship Best Performances at Macclesfield in a weekend that featured seven new West Cheshire AC club records being smashed.
Kelly nailed success in the under 15 girls hammer with a new championship best of 29.04m, and added a new county best of 10.97m in the shot.
Olivia produced a sensational new county and West Cheshire AC under 15 girls record of 10.44m to claim the gold medal from the triple jump, added a gold from the 75m hurdles (12.4), and secured top spot in the long jump with 4.99m.
And James McMahon launched the javelin to a new county best of 28.31m to claim victory from the under 13 boys javelin, after claiming a winning 1-35m high jump clearance, and a winning put of 7.38m in the shot.
Other newly-crowned county champions from West Cheshire AC included Bryony Potter who posted 13.0 seconds in the junior ladies 100m and 26.6 seconds in the 200m.
Stephen Jones grabbed glory in the under 17 mens 100m with 11.7 seconds; while Laura Rigby claimed the under 15 girls 100m crown with a time of 27.5 seconds; and Chris Goodwin clocked a time of nine minutes 37.8 seconds for victory in the under 17 mens 3,000m.
Victoria Anderson posted 12.6 seconds for victory in the under 17 ladies 80m hurdles, cleared a winning height of 1-63m in the high jump, a triple jumped her way to victory with 10.20m.
Leah Ferrie delivered a gold medal performance of 44.2 seconds from the under 17 ladies 300m; and Robbie Dagnall rounded the junior mens 400m in a club record winning time of 50.7 seconds.
Matthew Pagan claimed gold from the under 13 boys 100m with a time of 14.0 seconds; while Alice Jennings clocked 46.9 seconds for top spot in the under 17 ladies 300m hurdles.
Tom Kellet powered his way to victory with a new club record throw of 33.90m in the under 15 boys hammer.
Nicola Gore delivered 28.34m for success in the ladies hammer and spun the discus to a winning mark of 31.78m, before hitting 10.55m for victory in the shot.
Michael Lyness catapulted himself to a gold medal with a 2-80m clearance in the junior mens pole vault, and cleared a winning height of 1-75m in the high jump; and Michael Bailiff won the under 17 mens high jump with 1-75m.
Niamh Reilly launched the ladies javelin to a winning mark of 32.80m, and David McKay secured the mens javelin title with 60.57m.

Race Pack Distribution update: The distribution of race packs have been delayed by the late delivery of race numbers caused by a production problem at the printer. All race packs will be posted out on Monday 10th May and will be with you before the evenIf you are on the entry list and your number does not arrive before race day please report to the re-registration tent at Chester Racecourse. This will open at 7.00 am on the morning of the race where you will be issued with a replacement number and timing chip on production of proof of your identity. This will close at 9:00 am to allow you to get to the race start by 9.15 am.

West Cheshire AC celebrated a memorable double success story in the opening round of two track and field league campaigns.The Chester and Ellesmere Port-based clubs seniors won their Northern League Division Two West first round match at Stanney Oaks by a winning margin of more than 100 points.
And West Cheshire ACs youngsters then grabbed glory 24 hours later in their National Young Athletes League Northern Premier Division match at Wigans Robin Park Stadium.
