We mentioned the first three items in last month’s newsletter, but they’re worth repeating, so please read!
YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU
Marshals are needed for the Chester Half Marathon being held on Sunday 21st May.
Please let Ellie Robinson know if youβre able to join the clubβs teamΒ on Sunday 21st May this year. We need approximately 27 people.
Itβs always a fun morning watching the race and encouraging the runners. Youβll also receive aΒ T-shirt and a goody bag as a thanks from the organisers (Active Leisure Events).
TIME TO STRENGTHEN OUR COACHING TEAM
The future of our club is reliant on our volunteer coaching staff β and itβs now time to seriously look at increasing the numbers of our qualified coaches.
If youβre a parent of an athlete, or know someone you think would fit the bill, please shout up. We need you to inspire, supporte and develop athletes across all events, ability levels, aspirations, and ages.
Weβll support you every inch of the way if you want to step onto the coaching pathway, and get yourself a coaching qualification
If youβre interested, please email Dennis

ANDY HEADS CLUB CHARGE IN THE CAPITAL

Keely Smith, who warmed up for the marathon by contributing towards a women’s team victory for West Cheshire AC at the Essar Chester Spring Five Miles Road Race earlier this month, clocked 3:24:41 to better her previous best achieved at the recent Wrexham Marathon, ahead of Luke Ellis with a new personal best of 3:29:12, and Dave Bish (4:55:13).
Congratulations to sprinter Laura Turley clocked yet another personal best of 12.42 seconds in the 100m at Loughborough last weekend.
