WCAC conclude League campaign with clean sweep of team victories.

West Cheshire AC concluded their Cheshire Track and Field League campaign with a clean sweep of team victories.The Stanney Oaks-based club won the under 11 boys and girls team competitions, as well as the overall mens and womens age group team events at the final round staged at West Cheshire ACs home track in Ellesmere Port.
Michael Ozoemelam, Adam Howe, Daniel Pace, Tom Weaver, Harvey Tegg, and Dylan Bugg secured important points for the under 11 boys, and were backed up by Jared Dykes, Ivor Smith, Jack Hollins, Thomas Clayton, Peter Fenner, Liam Farrell, Zak Edwards, Stan Spriggs, George Staden, Tom Finn, Connor McEvoy, Ethan Lewis, Joseph Harris, Charlie Price, Dylan O Brien, and Michael Maxwell.
Abbie Pawlett, Tamsin O Keefe, Jess Hall, Anna Crayston, and Annabel Hemingbrough pocketed the points for the under 11 girls, and they were supported by Gemma Davis, Jessica Graham, Holly Worthington, Isla Shillington, Elise Adam, Lauren Jones, Raimi Harrison, Jemma Moulton, Zoe McDonald, Molly Jones, Evie Tipping, and Holly Jones.
UNDER 11s: 1 West Cheshire AC 118 points; 2 Bury AC 98; 3 St Helens Sutton 74; 4 Colwyn Bay 61; 5 Manchester Harriers 19; 6 Altrincham 12.
Zac Barnsley registered a grade two 100m time of 11.4 seconds for second spot in the under 17 mens 100m and won the B long jump (5.66m).
James McMahon won the long jump with 6.06m, finished third in the discus (22.04m) alongside B winner Nick Mitchelson (21.87m), while Mark Hearn won the under 17 mens 1500m with 4:24.8, alongside fourth placed Dan Gunner (5:18.6).
Alan Littler won the mens long jump (4.68m) and shot (6.14m) and finished third in the 1500m with 5:01.2.
Joseph Morrison, Ethan Milligan, Harri Britton, and Billy Fennel combined for the under 15 boys, while Fionnan O Mahony (14.2 in the 200m), Jack Chapman and Sonny Dean (first and second in the 1500m with 5:14.2), javelin throwers Will Scott (24.40m) and Jac Goodall (21.46m) secured graded under 13 boys performances alongside Daniel Pagan, Ewan Brandon, Curtis Rodway, Rory Willson, George Booth, George Hyde, Alex Mason and Finnian Bowyer.
MEN: 1 West Cheshire AC 189 points; 2 St Helens Sutton 136; 3 Colwyn Bay 127; 4 Altrincham 81; 5 Bury 61; 6 Manchester 8.
Georgia Barlow, Alice Barnsley, Jessica Renner, and Isobel Griffin registered graded performances in the under 15 girls age group.
Barlow won the 200m (27.3) and B long jump (4.25m), while Barnsley won the B 200m (27.9) and long jump (4.26m), Renner won the 800m (2:25.7), and Griffin hit a winning mark of 23.89m in the discus.
The quartet were supported by Victoria Smith, Katie Clarke, Sophie Hemingbrough, Sophie Carter, and Georgia Jones, before Barlow, Barnsley, Smith and Hemingbrough combined for a winning 4x100m relay time of 55.0 seconds.
Emma Howe, Keane Harrison, Ellie Finn, Beth McMahon, Issy Clarke, Harriet Staden, Maisie Tipping, and Charlotte Dodd teamed up for West Cheshires under 13 girls.
Olivia Montez-Brown, Kelly Baker, Jenni Potter, Debra Erskine, Megan McEveley, Geogina Moulton, Ella Jewsbury, and Ellen McMahon combined for the senior women.
Olivia won the 200m (26.2) and high jump (1-45m), Baker won the B high jump (1-40m), Potter won the hammer (36m), while Erskine won the B hammer (18.94m).
WOMEN: 1 West Cheshire AC 180 points; 2 Colwyn Bay 100; 3 St Helens Sutton 86; 4 Manchester 59; 5 Bury 41; 6 Altrincham 36.

A Fistful of Relay Champs Medals

West Cheshire AC pocketed a fistful of county medals at Macclesfield.The Stanney Oaks-based club secured five team victories at the Cheshire Track Relay Championships.
Alice McMahon (200m), Ella Jewsbury (200m), Ali Burkett (400m), and Megan McEveley (800m) combined to earn West Cheshire AC gold medals in the senior ladies medley relay with a time of four minutes 50.5 seconds, and teamed up for silver medals in the 4x100m relay.
Jack Chapman, Sam Grinter and Sonny Dean combined for a winning time of 7:51.3 in the under 13 boys 3x800m final.
Adam Howe, Edward Griffiths, Michael Ozoemelam, and Dylan Bugg teamed up for victory in the under 11 boys 4x100m final with a time of 60.1 seconds, ahead of fourth placed Ben Grinter, Liam Farrell, Zak Edwsrds and Harvey Tegg who clocked 63.3.
Lauren Jones, Abbie Pawlett, Anna Crayston and Tamsin O’Keefe combined for success in the under 11 girls 4x100m with a time of 60.7 seconds, ahead of West Cheshire bronze medallists Emma Ashcroft, Hollie Jones, Molly Jones, and Annabel Hemingbrough who clocked 64.5 seconds.
The trio of Annabel Hemingbrough, Tamsin O’Keefe and Anna Crayston won the under 11 girls 3x600m final with a time of 6:02.8, ahead of seventh placed Hollie Jones, Molly Jones and Lauren Jones with 6:42.7.
Charlie Potts, Adam Howe and Michael Ozoemelam posted 6:11.3 for silver medals in the under 11 boys 3x600m, ahead of the bronze medal quartet of Harvey Tegg, Ben Grinter and Dylan Bugg who clocked 6:13.0, and fourth placed team of Liam Farrell, Edward Griffiths and Zak Edwards who posted 6:27.4.
