5 WCAC Athletes at English Schools Champs.

Emily Clarke, Jelle Verwer, Andrew Whitton, Emily Done and Sian Kelman represented Cheshire at the recent Champs at Birmingham Alexander Stadium.In the Junior age group Emily Clarke finished with a 4.47m long jump.
Intermediate Boys: Jelle Verwer ran the 800m in 1:57.09 and Andrew Whitton jumped 12.58m in the triple jump.
Intermediate Girls: Emily Done ran the 300m in 41.06 and Sian Kelman long jumped 5.30m

WCAC climb into 3rd place in Northern League

In adverse weather conditions West Cheshire finished 3rd on the day and are now 3rd overall in the league.

Sian Kelman Athlete of the match at Junior League

The West Cheshire AC ace represented Cheshire Tigers in the latest round of the National Junior League. Sian continued her impressive season with a winning mark of 5.43m in the long jump alongside club mate Shona Valentine who won the B event with 4.63m
Sian, who has qualified to compete at the English Schools’ Championships later this month, was awarded the Female Athlete of the Match Award.
Emily Fisher won the javelin with a throw of 29.74m, while Lauren Hunt grabbed a winning put of 9.91m in the shot and success in the discus with 33.81m, and Kate Titlow won the 3,000m in a time of 11 minutes 30.4 seconds.
Daisy Flynn-Piercy, Rachel Stoakley, Shona Valentine, and Sian Kelman teamed up to earn Cheshire Tigers a convincing victory of 51.8 seconds in the 4x100m. Bryony Potter finished second in the 400m with 60.3 seconds, and Emily Done clocked 27.2 for second spot in the B 200m.
Carl Van Schie hit a winning distance of 32.22m in the discus and cleared a winning height of 3m in the pole vault alongside B winner Michael Lyness who achieved 2-70m. He added a high jump victory of 1-80m.
Alex Haswell rounded the 800m in a new personal best time of two minutes 01.1 seconds for second position, and the 2,000m steeplechase in 7:05.6 for second spot, Alan Littler finished third in the 1500m with 5:04.1, and Tom Walley posted 12.0 seconds for fifth place in the 100m.
The Cheshire Tigers men’s 4x100m squad of Michael Lyness, Tom Walley, Richard Tranter, and Jack Andrew finished second with a time of 48.3 seconds.

Stephanie Owen earns Senior Welsh International vest.

Stephanie Owens has been awarded her first Senior Welsh vest and will compete in an International Throws meeting, to be held on 7 July in Croatia.
Stephanie threw 44.92m in the U17 competition.
