Carl Van Schie competed in the Senior Boys Decathlon at the English Schools Combined Events Championships in Exeter over the weekend of 15/16th September 2007. On Day 1 Carl got of to a good start in the 100m achieved a personal best performance in the Long Jump of 6.34 and ran a strong 400m, after 5 events he had a points total of 3233, putting him in 7th position overnight. With a very early start on day 2 Carl started with a strong Hurdles race, followed by Discus and then equalled his outdoor PB in the Pole Vault with a vault of 3.40. He then went on to throw a PB in the Javelin and run a personal best in the 1500m to finish in 4th place overall with a points total of 5988.

Jenni Potter won gold in the U13 girls Cheshire Multi Events Competion held at Macclesfield on the 9th of September with 214 points, close behind in 2nd position with 210 points was Alice Jennings. Joseph O’Riordan 220 points won the U13 boys with Michael Wallis and Adam Howell both scoring a total of 213.
Tom Booth took gold in the U15 boys competition with a score of 2231 and Michael Lyness won the U17 boys with a total score of 2608 points.
