Olivia crowned NW Sportshall Champion

Olivia Montez-Brown was crowned under 15 girls champion at the North West Regional Sportshall Finals at Wigans Robin Park Indoor Arena. The talented West Cheshire AC member represented Cheshire against Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cumbria, and Merseyside, and won the all-rounder competition after winning the standing long jump competition before partnering clubmate Laura Rigby in the parlaaf race.
Rigby, who finished second in the speed bounce and standing long jump, finished joint third in the all-rounder competition.
Montez-Brown and Rigby combined with West Cheshire AC duo Chloe Hunt and Kelly Baker to help earn Cheshire victory in the under 15 team competition.
Hunt finished runner-up in the vertical jump and teamed up with Baker for victory in the relay, while Baker also powered her way to victory in the shot put competition.
The West Cheshire AC quartet will now be part of the Cheshire team to compete at the UK Sportshall Finals at Birmingham next month.
Cheshire celebrated three age group team victories overall out of the four age group competitions, with the under 15 boys failing to qualify after being hit by last-minute withdrawals.
West Cheshire ACs Yousef Khalifa finished equal second in the under 15 boys all-rounder competition after finishing second in both the relay and standing long jump, and third in the shot put.
Amy Williams, Charlotte Williamson, and Emily Ball combined for Cheshire in the under 13 girls event.
