A big congratulations to race director Ellie Robinson for the success of Wednesday night’s Essar Chester Spring 5 Miles Road Race. (more…)CHRIS PALMER and Steve Fernyhough clocked personal best times at the Greater Manchester Marathon. Chris posted a chip time of two hours 55 minutes eight seconds ahead of five other club mates. Steve was next home for the purple-vested outfit, clocking 2:55:41, ahead of Richard Hayes who posted 3:09:29, Phil Woodley in a new personal best of 3:14:02, Trevor Holmes who clocked 3:25:22, and Danny Paddock who finished in 4:58:19.

Steve and the two Andys look good for an each way bet as they pull away from the rest of the men’s field. Lots of ground still to cover and points to be earned. YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU
The Club has a clash of fixtures on Sunday, 19th May, with the Chester Half Marathon being held on the same day as the first round of the Northern Track & Field League at Witton Park, Blackburn.
CARYS ROBERTS will represent the North West in London later this month.

The latest round of the Borders Road Running League takes place this Sunday (11am start), hosted by Buckley Runners on a new, accurately measured 5 mile course on the open roads in the Hope/Kinnerton area.
Car Parking, toilets and limited changing facilities are at Hope Leisure Centre. Access is off Fagl Lane, Hope. Further details can be found here.
EIGHT West Cheshire Athletic Club youngsters have contributed towards a North West Championship title.
