THIS WEEKEND
West Cheshire AC members are being urged to represent their club at this Saturday’s Cheshire Track and Field League match at Ellesmere Port Sports Village which kicks off with a 3,000m race at 11.45am.

EVERYONE WILL BE USING THE FIELD FOR CAR PARKING VIA THE EPSV STAFF CAR PARK ENTRANCE – NOT THE MAIN ENTRANCE OFF THE ROUNDABOUT.

Eight West Cheshire AC members – Jodi Bemand, Fatoumatta Bojang, Stephanie Jones, Uzezi Onomerike, Carys Roberts, Charlie Hyde, Matthew Webb, and Jamie Richardson, will represent Cheshire this Sunday at Middlesbrough in the Northern Inter Counties Championships.

And the latest Club Summer Off Road League Fixture takes place at Langley Fete this Sunday (2.30pm start).

TRACKSIDE BUILDING UPDATE
The Ellesmere Port Sports Village Trackside Community Room, Toilets and Changing Rooms are scheduled to be finished on Friday, July 12.

The Council have asked the Club what we want to do to mark the official opening of the Trackside Buildings, so an open meeting will be held for members and parents to discuss ideas at 6pm on Monday, July 15, in the EPSV Community Room. Please make a note in your diaries.

MANY THANKS
The Club would like to thank all those who helped out at Monday’s Chester Primary School Athletics Competition,Β Wednesday’s Cheshire v Merseyside Year 7 Schools Championships, andΒ Thursday’s West Cheshire AC Schools Track and Field Cup Match which all proved a big success.

CONGRATULATIONS!
TEN West Cheshire AC members will compete for their county at the English Schools Track and Field Championships at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium on Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13.

Representing Merseyside will be Lara Battersby, Imogen Pughe and Isla Shillington.

And representing Cheshire will be: Stephanie Jones, Fatoumatta Bojang, Ewan Bradley, George Hyde, Carys Roberts, Evie Tipping and Emma Howe.

CLASS ACTS
Congratulations to West Cheshire AC youngsters Lewis Parsons, Flora Plass, Jessica Lark, Luke Parker, Aimee Phillips, Alex Rutherford, Sara Pearson and Reece Munro who represented their county at this week’s Cheshire v Merseyside Year 7 Track and Field Fixture held at Ellesmere Port Sports Village.

URGENTΒ HELP NEEDED
The ClubΒ needs urgent help, support, and assistance from parents during Tuesday evening training sessions at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village Athletics Track (6.30pm-8pm).

WHY NOT BECOME AN OFFICIAL?
West Cheshire AC is keen to help any parents of members wanting to become qualified officials. The Club will pay for parents of members wanting to attend an officials course.

NORTHERN TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS – ENTRIES NOW OPEN!
Entries are now being accepted for the Northern Track and Field Age Group Championships for Under 13s, Under 15s, Under 17s, Under 20s, and Seniors, at the following link:

The Under 20 and Senior Championships closing date is 13th May; while the Under 13s, Under 15s and Under 17s Closing date is 26th July. Further details here.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
All parents of youngsters attending track training sessions are reminded to collect their sons and daughters from the track – not from the car park. The Club wants to ensure everyone stays safe and that every youngster safely leaves every track training session.

CLUB KIT
Anyone wanting to purchase club vests (Β£17) and/or hoodies (Β£15) is reminded that parentsΒ Vikki Brett and Joanne Lark will sellΒ club kit at the EPSV Track Office AFTER Tuesday night training sessions.

Payment can be made by cash, or by cheque made payable to West Cheshire AC.

INVITE TO OBTAIN TRACK AND FIELD CERTIFICATE
All Club members are being invited to support our club by completing the Track & Field Online Management Course to help West Cheshire AC look after the Ellesmere Port Sports Village Athletics Track. Further details can be found here. Β
