Bryony Potter and Dave Alexander have been awarded with West Cheshire ACs main awards at the clubs annual presentation evening.
Bryony won the Ladies Cup after finishing fifth at last years English Schools Track and Field Championships, as well as smashing two club records and securing a gold medal at the Cheshire Championships.

And Dave was honoured with the Mens Cup after a busy 2009 which featured a host of impressive performances including an appearance at the World Mountain Running Championships in Croatia where he distinguished himself as the first Briton to complete the over-40 veterans event.

Jenna Sheehy claimed the Wright Cup which was donated several years ago by the Wright family who were West Cheshire AC members before emigrating to Australia.

Sacha Kendall-Woods and Andrew Clague received the ladies and mens Endurance Running Cups after a series of pleasing road and cross country appearances during 2009.

Rob Tudor and Glenys Potter won the Veteran Men and Veteran Womens Awards respectively, while John Manning and Niamh Reilly claimed the Senior Men and Senior Woman accolades.

Tom Walley was the winner of the Under 20 Junior Mans award, and Emily Done won the Under 20 Junior Lady prize.

Multi-eventer Tom Booth claimed the Under 17 Mens award, and sprinter Leah Ferrie clinched the Under 17 Lady title.

Michael Bailiff, who produced a series of superb high jumping performances, won the under 15 prize, and shot-putter Kelly Baker claimed the under 15 girls award.

Charlotte Williamson was distinguished as the under 13 girl winner, while James McMahon won the under 13 boys prize.

Elijah Montez-Brown claimed the under 11 boys award, while Georgia Barlow and Olivia Williams both won under 11 girls awards.

West Cheshire AC have qualified for all six age group finals on Sunday, March 7th, at Widnes.The final league positions after five rounds of competition in each age group are:

West Cheshire AC is celebrating the clubs most successful visit to the Northern Indoor Track and Field Championships.Six members of the Chester and Ellesmere Port-based club returned home from the two-day fixture at Sheffields English Institute of Sport Arena with medal-winning performances.
Amy Williams, Victoria Anderson, and Kelly Baker grabbed gold medals from their respective events, while Alice Jennings, Chris Goodwin, and Olivia Montez-Brown secured silver medals.

Amy was the youngest competitor involved in the under 15 girls long jump event, but finished
head and shoulders above the opposition. The multi-talented youngster achieved a grade one leap of 5.01m to spark a series of spectacular results from her fellow purple-vested West Cheshire club colleagues.

Kelly Baker demonstrated her strength and polished technique to produce a clinical victory in the under 15 girls shot put event. Kelly hit a magnificent grade one distance of 11.25m to secure her gold medal, and added a grade four long jump result of 4.46m for ninth position, and a 60m heat time of 8.98 seconds.

Victoria Anderson cleared a grade one height of 1-65m to claim top spot in the under 17 ladies high jump, just five centimetres better than her second placed club mate, Alice Jennings, whose grade two height of 1-60m proved sufficient to achieve a silver medal.
Both West Cheshire AC high jumpers enjoyed the thrill of competing alongside current World heptathlon champion, Jessica Ennis.

Chris Goodwin was rewarded with a silver medal from his appearance in the under 17 mens 1500m which merited a grade four time of four minutes 17.40 seconds.

And Olivia Montez-Brown completed the West Cheshire AC roll of honour after she negotiated the under 15 girls 60m hurdles in a grade two time of 9.59 seconds for second spot and a well earned silver medal. Olivia had achieved second spot in her opening heat with a grade three time of 9.78 seconds, and a grade three time of 9.77 seconds for third position in her semi-final.

Steve Jones finished seventh in his under 17 mens 60m final with a time of 7.61 seconds after qualifying with 7.58 seconds which earned him second place in his heat.

Alice McMahon had to settle for fourth position with a grade four time of 43.51 seconds in her under 17 ladies 300m final after winning her qualifying heat with a time of 43.21. And Alice claimed eighth place in her 60m final with a grade four time of 8.26 seconds after an identical grade three time of 8.14 seconds in her heat and semi-final appearances.

Danielle Erskine finished eighth with a grade four distance of 4.83m in the under 17 ladies long jump, and she clocked 8.48 seconds in her 60m heat.

And Alexandra Birkett posted 8.62 seconds for seventh position in her under 17 ladies 60m heat.

West Cheshire AC finished just one point away from achieving a cleansweep of six age group victories at the third round of the North West Sportshall League.Leon Langmead with a new shot put best of 8.93m, and James McMahon with 7.54m scored a double success story in the under 13 boys shot put at Kingsway Leisure Centre, Widnes.
Daniel Vickers won the standing long jump with 2.03m, claimed victory in the speed bounce with 73 alongside B winner Matthew Pagan with 65, and Jack Simcox (1:35.0) partnered B six lap runner Chris Harrop (1:44.3) to a double victory, whil Neil Pitchford clocked 33.5 seconds in the two lap.
The quartet of Vickers, Simcox, McMahon, and Pagan combined for victory in the sprint relay.
Elijah Montez-Brown, Jack Pickering, Dillon Salvi, and Connor Rowbottom teamed up for victory in the under 11 boys sprint relay.
They were backed up by Jack Johnson, Adam Henry, Toby Hulse, Taylor Rice, Cameron Weaver, Tom Harrop, and Joseph Morrison.
Ryan Jones celebrated success in both the under 15 boys six lap and speed bounce (65), alongside B speed bounce winner, Yousef Khalifa (64), and Joel Langmead who earned the club an age group team win.
Georgia Barlow secured victories in the under 11 girls two lap (26.9) and four lap, alongside speed bounce winner, Sophie Baker (50), and important back-up from Samilld McGonigle, Olivia Williams, Toni Lammond, Sophie Carter, and Molly Sharples.
Amy Williams clocked a winning time of 26.6 seconds in the under 13 girls two lap, and Chloe Hunt won the speed bounce alongside B winner, Ellen McMahon, while Sophie Percival won the B shot put, and Charlotte Williamson won the B standing long jump (1.83m), while Tess Corr won the B six lap, and other important point scorers were Hannah Wood, Emily Wood, and India Cotgreave.
Alice McMahon, Olivia Montez-Brown, Kelly Baker, Jenna Sheehy, Laura Rigby, Jenni Potter, Emma Johnson, and Alice Jennings secured top spot in the under 15 girls event.
Alice McMahon won the two lap (25.4) alongside B winner Olivia (26.1), who added victories from the six lap and standing triple jump (6.97m).
Kelly (10.59m) and Alice Jennings (8.80m) won in the shot, while Laura scored 73 for success in the speed bounce alongside Jenna with 69, alongside vital support from Jenni and Emma.

Three West Cheshire AC girls have helped steer their county to success.Georgia Barlow, Olivia Williams, and Sophie Baker represented Cheshire in the Under 11s Fun In Sportshall Athletics Meeting held at Sport City, Manchester.
Georgia won the six-lap parlaaf partnering Kelly Chadwick, and scored 45cms in the vertical jump, as well as making appearances in the 4×1 lap relay, and speed bounce.
Olivia competed in the hurdle relay, the grand prix, balance beam test, and javelin.
And Sophie participated in the over and under race, speed bounce, and balance beam test.
Cheshire Girls won the competition with 406 points, ahead of runners-up, Liverpool, on 400, and St Helens in third position on 391.
West Cheshire AC trio Dylan Salvi, Elijah Montez-Brown, and Cameron Weaver combined for the Cheshire boys team who finished fifth.
Dylan competed in the over and under relay, hurdles, balance beam test, and javelin, while Elijah scored points in the speed bounce, long jump, grand prix, and over and under relay.
