NEW OFFICIALS NEEDED – ARE YOU UP FOR IT?
More qualified track and field officials are needed, both at club events and at CheshireΒ  Championship meetings.
This year a Cheshire-only County Track & Field Championships at Warrington on May 13-14 is being held. As we won’t have any Greater Manchester officials to help out this year, we need to boost the number of Cheshire officials, so more timekeepers, track judges, field judges, starters and starters’ assistants are needed.
Attending a Level 1 officials course is a great way to get involved in officiating. There are three courses being held in the North West this Spring:
Wavertree Athletic Track, Liverpool on Sunday, February 19.
Sportcity, Manchester on Sunday, March 12.
And Witton Park Athletic Track, Blackburn, on Sunday, March 26.
Details of these are on the EA website: www.englandathletics.org/courses-and-bookings
Once you’ve booked on an officials course,Β  let Dennis Wall know and he’ll arrange for your course fee to be reimbursed by the club.
Please spread the word. To provide our athletes with the best possible standard of competition, we need more officials! Officiating is a great way to support the sport of athletics by getting directly involved in competition.

CLUB RECEIVES ADVICE FROM BRIO LEISURE
BRIO LEISURE has emailed to request help during the next few weeks and months while they experience high volumes of traffic in the EPSV car park during peak times.
They’re looking at ways to improve the situation including adding more staff to help manage the direction of traffic and prevent customers parking in unsafe locations that also causes access/egress issues. They would like club members to help alleviate some pressure by suggesting a few ideas:
Do you need to drive to the facility, can you walk, cycle or use public transport? If you need to drive, can you car share with anyone else from the club to reduce the number of cars? If you’re a parent dropping a child off, make sure you are doing it in a safe location which is not causing congestion for traffic. Only park in designated parking spaces and not at the end of bays or in areas which are coned off. Please don’t park on a zebra crossing!
The car park has many spaces extending all the way over towards David Lloyd and around the β€˜old school’ building so please utilise the whole car park. Thanks.

FORTHCOMING FIXTURES
