Press Report: PBs at Trafford

WEST CHESHIRE Athletic Club duo Ruby Wisbey and Sara Pearson have bagged new personal best performances.

Wisbey clocked a new under 15 girls 75m hurdles best time of 12.09 seconds at the Trafford AC Open Track and Field Meeting and added 13.63 seconds for her 100m, and 4.91m in the long jump.

And Pearson powered her way to a new under 15 girls shot put personal best of 10m at the Longford Park Stadium fixture.

WELSH international Laura Turley travelled to Swansea University Sports Centre for a Welsh Athletics pilot event and posted 58.50 seconds for her 400m.

AGNIESZKA BYCINA, of West Cheshire AC, posted 40 minutes one second at the City of Preston Five Miles Road Race.

LIMITED entries are now open for the 60th Anniversary Cilcain Mountain Race.

Most places will be allocated on a first come – first served basis but there will be a percentage of reserved places for the following groups: Cilcain residents, former winners, local clubs (who have supported the race over the years), those of β€˜advanced years’ and not tech savvy.
No entries will be accepted on the day – Bank Holiday Monday, August 31.Β Entries above the agreed limit will be held as reserve.Β The race entries link is here.

A NEW Covid-19 secure Farndon 10k Road Race on Sunday, September 27, will have a waived start and runners will be set off in a group based on their predicted finishing time. Race numbers and chips will be posted and race instructions will be emailed approximately seven days before race day.
