CLUB CROSS COUNTRY FIXTURE: The North Staffs Cross Country League third round takes place on Saturday, 16th November, at Park Hall Country Park, Weston Coyney, Hulme Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST3 5AY, (12 noon start). More details: http://www.nsccl.org.uk/category/fixtures/
The timetable is: 12 noon: Under 11 Girls (2km); 12.15pm: Under 11 Boys and Under 13 Girls (2km); 12.35pm: Under 13 Boys and Under 15 Girls (3.5km); 1pm: Under 17 Ladies and Under 15 Boys (4.5km); 1.30pm: Under 20 Ladies, Senior and Veteran Women, and Under 17 Men (5km); 2.10pm: Under 20 Men, Senior and Veteran Men (8km).
SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY FIXTURE: Best wishes to all West Cheshire AC youngsters selected to represent their county at the Dave Sunderland Cup Inter Counties Schools Match being held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Postcode: TF10 9LQ, on Saturday, 16th November. Race times:- 1.30pm, Year 7 Boys, 1.50pm, Year 7 Boys, 2.10pm, Junior Girls, 2.30pm, Junior Boys; 2.50pm, Intermediate Girls; 3.20pm, Intermediate Boys.
SPORTSHALL TRAINING: An indoor sportshall athletics training session, will take place on Saturday, 16th November (10am-12 noon), at Ellesmere Port Sports Village Sportshall. Everyone needs to register first at the Track Office.
HIGH JUMP TRAINING: All members in the Under 13s age group and above are invited to a high jump training session supervised by Jane Palmer, atΒ Deeside Indoor Athletics Centre, Kelsterton Road, Connahs Quay, CH5 4BR, on Friday, 15th November (6.30pm start). The cost to use the facility is Β£4 per athlete.
THROWS TRAINING: All members in the Under 13s age group and above are invited to a throws training session supervised by Dave McKay, atΒ Deeside Indoor Athletics Centre, Kelsterton Road, Connahs Quay, CH5 4BR, on Friday, 15th November (6.30pm start). The cost to use the facility is Β£4 per athlete.
JUMPS TRAINING: All members in the Under 13s age group and above are invited to a jumps session supervised by Carl Foster at Robin Park Indoor Athletics Centre, Wigan, Postcode: WN5 0UH, on Sunday, 17th November (10am-12 noon). The cost to use the indoor track is Β£3.60 for juniors Β£4.50 for adults (levied by the Arena) – coaches and spectators are free.
LAST CHANCE TO ENTER LIVERPOOL CROSS CHALLENGE: Entries close this Friday, November 15th, for the UK Cross Country Challenge at Sefton Park, Croxteth Drive, Liverpool, L17 3AL, taking place on 23rd November. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The Ellesmere Port Sports Village Athletics Track has been closed this week to remove moss and clean the track. The work is scheduled to take five days, so the club is hoping track training sessions will resume as normal on Tuesday 19th November.Β But please keep a look out on our club Website: www.westcheshireac.co.uk for further news updates, as well as the Club Facebook Page, Twitter Account, and via a Niftyentries email to your inbox.
CLIPS NEEDED FOR PROMOTIONAL CLUB VIDEO
Any members possessing video clips of them in action in road races, cross country races, sportshall competitions, or track and field events are being requested to forward them to Dennis Wall by email ASAP at: [email protected]
The video clips will be considered for a promotional club video being planned to be shown at the Annual Club Awards Evening on Saturday 1st February.

BE SEEN AND BE SAFE
All Club members training at night on routes that involve crossing roads and where there is traffic are reminded to wear bright and reflective clothing. Please be safe.
PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
All parents of youngsters attending track training sessions are reminded to collect their sons and daughters from the track β not from the car park. The Club wants to ensure everyone stays safe and that every youngster safely leaves every track training session.
All youngsters attending track training sessions should bring along warm clothing, preferably waterproofs, hats, gloves, as well as a bottle of water.
LONDON MARATHON CLUB BALLOT
All first claim club members aged 18+ are being invited to enter our ballot for a place in next yearβs London Marathon. Please direct requests for entries to Richard Batterham via: [email protected]
COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Although online entries are open for the Cheshire Cross Country Championships at Winsford on Saturday, 4th January 2020, there is no need for West Cheshire AC members to enter (and pay) individually, as the club has confirmed that it will cover all entries to those who commit to run. This will be done en-bloc in December by Club Cross Country Secetary, Dave Alexander. An email will be sent to club members in due course.

INDOOR CIRCUIT TRAINING
Dave McKay and Jenny Manning will be supervising winter circuit training for club members on Wednesdays in the old Stanney High School Sportshall (Annexe) from 7pm.
BECOME ONE OF OUR CLUB COACHES
Any parents of West Cheshire AC members wanting to become qualified coaches will be fully supported by the Club who will pay for coaching courses.
The next Coaching Assistant Courses are being held at SportCity, Manchester, on 26th and 27th October.
And there are Fitness in Running and Walking Courses at GMP Training Centre, Hough End, Manchester, on Saturday and Sunday, 2nd and 3rd November.

REGIONAL COACH AND ATHLETE TRAINING DAYS
England Athletics is running a series of Regional Coach & Athlete Training Days across the country between September 2019 and March 2020. Delivered by elite-level coaches, these practical event-specific sessions are tailored to either Speed, Endurance, Jumps or Throws and are perfect for club-based athletes and coaches looking to develop in areas including training, preparation and technique.

REGIONAL ENDURANCE WORKSHOP
West Cheshire AC has agreed to host England Athletics Regional Endurance Coaching Workshops this Winter at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village Athletics Track.
The target audience will be Coaches working with athletes who are County standard or higher, and athletes aged 11-18. The duration will be up to three hours to include Q&A/discussion.
An interval training session will be held on Thursday, 5th December, and a threshold training session will take place on Thursday, 5th March.

West Cheshire AC is keen to help any parents of members wanting to become qualified officials. The Club will pay for parents of members wanting to attend an officials course.
