GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
Best wishes to all of you competing at this weekend’s Cheshire AA Track and Field Championships at Victoria Park, Warrington. Club training this Saturday has been cancelled because we’re all in Warrington for the Cheshire AA Track and Field Championships.
The full timetable for both days is here.
EMMA HITS COMMONWEALTH MARK
Well done to Emma Howe who not only secured victory in the under 17 womens javelin with a throw of 47.19m, but also achieved the England Athletics’ Youth Commonwealth qualifying standard for this year’s competition in the Bahamas – brilliant stuff Emma.
Isla Shillington and Sion Roberts also starred for the club, who capitalised on home advantage, at the opening round of the Cheshire Track and Field League by producing impressive performances to earn their club success at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village Track in the first of four rounds.
Isla spun the under 13 girls discus to a winning mark of 24m, and Sion rounded the under 17 mens 3,000m in a time of 10:09.6.

A REMINDER TO U13 & U15 PARENTS
When your children are competing for the club and you can’t accompany them, please make sure you have a responsible adult looking after them. The adult’s name needs to be given to your child’s team manager before they compete so they know who is responsible for your child.
It could mean your child not being able to travel on the team coach, or compete if this procedure isn’t followed.
