Jessica Thomas completes a clean sweep of race wins

Jessica Thomas completed a clean sweep of race wins at West Cheshire AC Schools’ Cross Country Race Series.The Farndon pupil celebrated her fourth consecutive victory in the year four girls event staged at Cheshire Oaks High School, Ellesmere Port, and secured a comprehensive race series win. Her final round success was clocked at five minutes 56 seconds, ahead of runner-up Ella Robson, from Thomas Wedge, who posted 7:09, and third placed Imogen Hopkins from Farndon,7:41.
Sally Pickering, Whitby High, strode her way to victory in the Year Seven girls event in a time of 14 minutes 40 seconds.
Ellen McMahon Upton, was the Year Seven girls race series winner after securing success in first three rounds.
Ffion Douglas, Farndon, won the final round of the Year Six girls event a fraction ahead of runner-up Emily Graham, Farndon, who clocked an identical time of 11:20.
Tess Corr, Oldfield, won the overall Year Six girls race series award after winning two of her three series appearances.
Rosie Webber, St Saviours, won the Year Five girls final round race in 7:53, from runner up Cora Finlay, St Saviours, in 7:56 who won the overall race series award, and third placed Dominika Sadczuk,St Saviours, who clocked 8:10.
Chris McCartney, Queens Park High won the Year Seven boys fourth round race in 12:40, but Christleton High’s Toby Palin was the race series winner after winning three of the four rounds.
Farndon’s Thomas Milburn won the Year Six Boys race in 9:09 and the overall series award, beating school colleague, Matthew Tuite, who was second, and Deri Corfe, Dee Point, in third spot.
Elijah Montez-Brown, St Saviours, won the Year Five boys race in 6:47 and won the overall award, ahead of second placed round four runner, Josh Boothman, Farndon, and Callum Felwell,St Saviours, in third.
Henry Eddleston Farndon, won the Year Four boys fourth round race in 6:18 and won the overall series, from Matthew Garner, Acresfield, who was second overall, while Wilf Smith, Overleigh, secured third place at the final round.
