THIS SATURDAY

Club members entered in this Saturday’s Cheshire Cross Country Championships should collect their numbers from our Club tent.

Please note that parking at Knight’s Grange, Grange Lane, Winsford, CW7 2PT, can be quite hectic, so please lift share where possible. This will particularly be the case for the later, senior men’s and women’s, races. Given this, please could seniors communicate times for meeting up, eg at Cheshire County Sports Club, particularly to ensure that those of the 22 WCAC entrants who cannot drive can still get there.

Tim Durrant ([email protected]) has requested that anyone who wants metal spikes for Saturday’s race to let him know by Friday mid-day at the latest, to pick up on Saturday, ideally before the first race, as Tim is time-keeping all day. Tim says that all of the laps are very wet underfoot, and recommends anything from 12 to 15mm spikes – though it is best to check out the course on race day and see what you are comfortable with.

North Staffs Cross-country League: important message

Important messages from the organisers for all seniors and under 17 men, re this Saturday’s (14-12-19) North Staffs Cross-country League at Rodbaston:

Unfortunately, due to only having two fields available for our use, instead of three which was our original allocation, we are cancelling the races for the Under 20, Senior and Veteran Athletes races.

We are proceeding with the races up to Under 17’s, which have fewer numbers to accommodate.

Please be aware that the Under 17 Men will start with the Under 17 Women & Under 15 Boys at 1:00pm (normally they would be starting at 1:30pm).

All Individual and Team Awards for Under 20, Senior and Veterans will be based on the overall positions at the conclusion of Race 3.

We hope to commence the presentation of awards (both Youngsters & Adult Categories) at Rodbaston Campus at around 2:15pm.
