HARRIET WHEELER secured a silver medal in Birmingham on Saturday.
The West Cheshire Athletic Club member braved difficult wet conditions during the England Athletics Under 20 Women’s Javelin Championship and nailed a throw of 45.33m to claim second position.

Club mate, Kara Stoll, kicked things off in the Women’s hammer on Friday, finishing 10th.
