NORTHERN TRACK & FIELD LEAGUE MATCH
The Club will be represented at the Northern League match for Under 17s, Under 20s, and Seniors, at Witton Park, Blackburn, BB2 2TP, this Saturday, 19th June. The first field events start at 11.30am, and the first track event starts at 1pm.

CHESHIRE TRACK & FIELD LEAGUE MATCH
The Club will be represented at the Cheshire League match which is only for athletes in the Under 15 and Under 17 age groups, at Macclesfield Leisure Centre, Priory Lane, Macclesfield, SK10 4AF, this Sunday, 20th June. The first event takes place at 1pm.

REMINDER ABOUT HEALTH CHECKS
Having watched Christian Eriksen collapse during the European Football Championships, it’s a reminder that we should all be having regular screenings and health checks given the intensity and levels we train at.
The attached link is for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) they are an organisation that screen 14-35 year olds, they use the screenings to check if there are any anomalies in the subjects cardiac rhythm.You can also consult your GP should you have any concerns. βCardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).β The link is:

The Club is managed by a committee who are re-elected every 12 months and meet on the second Tuesday of every month to discuss a range of issues concerning the Club.
The Club Committee is comprised of: Mike Lamb (President), Jon Clarke (Chairman), Dennis Wall (Vice-Chairman, and Track and Field Officer), Julian Tegg (Secretary), Darren Shillington (Treasurer), Jane Pughe (Membership Secretary), Eddie Gore (Facilities Officer), Dave Alexander (Cross Country Secretary), John Parlevliet (Road Running Secretary), and Mark Duffey (Marketing Officer).

CLUB WELFARE TEAM VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED
Club Welfare Team Volunteers are needed to ensure that we provide a safe, supportive set-up in which any welfare or safeguarding issues can be reported and dealt with fairly, efficiently, and in line with England Athletics guidelines. HELPERS WANTED FOR COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS
West Cheshire AC is scheduled to host the Cheshire Track and Field Championships at Ellesmere Port Sports Village on Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22.
But County Officials secretary, Alan Morris, is currently struggling to find enough timekeepers and field judges, and we will need to allocate people to other roles such as Technical Manager, Seeding, Announcer, and Presentations, to ensure the event runs smoothly.

UPDATED PROVISIONAL DATES FOR YOUR DIARY…
Subject to Covid-19 rules, West Cheshire AC’s latest revised league season looks like this:
Under 13/Under 15 Youth Development League Merseyside Division: Saturday, July 17, (at Bebington Oval), and Saturday, September 4 (at Wavertree, Liverpool).
Under 17/Under 20 Youth Development League Merseyside Division: Sunday, June 27, (at Ellesmere Port Sports Village), Sunday, July 25 (at Bebington Oval), and Sunday, September 5, (at Wavertree, Liverpool).
West Cheshire AC’s North Premier West League squad will open their season on Saturday, June 19, at Blackburn, before hosting at Ellesmere Port Sports Village on Sunday, July 4, and concluding the campaign at Trafford, on Sunday, August 1.
West Cheshire AC’s Cheshire League second and third rounds are at Macclesfield on Sunday, June 20 and Saturday, July 24; and West Cheshire AC will host the final round at Ellesmere Port Sports Village on Sunday, August 29.
NORTHERN ATHLETICS 5k CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2021 Northern Athletics 5K Road Race Championships will return to the Sunderland 5K – hosted by Sunderland Harriers. The event will be on the evening of Thursday, 22nd July 2021,Β (subject to govt. regulations). Entry details will be posted on the Sunderland Harriers website when available.
