WCAC Off-road Summer League 2019 Rounds 7 and 8: Report

Numbers down as summer holidays took their toll, but Andy and Claire galloped round the Gyrn to earn maximum points last Saturday.

Tom continued his excellent form with a clear overall win at Wednesday’s Ponderosa fell race, while photo stars Tony and Chris continued their off-road league face-off into the race itself, Tony now closing to three points behind Chris. Ellie extended her league lead as the only purple-vested female Ponderosa participant. Standings are now up at the bottom of the off-road page.

Lots of points to be earned at this Wednesday’s (August 7th) virtually flat Pie and Peas (pre-entries only). If all 13 West Cheshire men and 6 women on the start-list turn up, there are more points all round, with a maximum of 17 points for first man and 12 points for first woman. Performance points from only your best five races to count in this league so, if your entry fee and the post-race pie and peas aren’t enough to get you there, this is one not to miss!
