WCAC Off-road Summer League 2019

Hats off to the five hardy souls who took part in Hot Foot Up Famau last Wednesday, June 12th where, after the clamber up the stone gully, the day’s rain provided the added bonus of a run through a mini-stream.

Ellie (first woman overall at Hot Foot…) and Chris lead the standings, after having completed both rounds, as has Alex, in 2nd place in the women’s league. Welcome to league first timers Darren and Tony. Standings are now up at the bottom of the off-road page.

A quick breather before round three next Wednesday, June 19th, Robbie Webster’s Wobbler. No stone gully this time, only the far more health-and-safety-minded fire escape steps, but still only 50m from the start to the first of many climbs throughout its five miles. All on trails, mostly of the Sandstone variety, though expect a bit of slippiness as well as the promised wobbliness if the rain persists.
