FESTIVE TRAINING

The last club training night before Christmas for the under 11s is Tuesday, December 20, and the last training night before Christmas for the under 13s and under 15s group is Thursday, December 22, and there will then be no training from Friday, December 23, through to January 2. The first day back at training is Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
You’ll need to check with the other coaches – Dan Gilroy, Tim Durrant, Ian Ackroyd, Jon Moss, and Chris Morgan what their festive training plans are.

We can’t use the athletics track during Ellesmere Port Sports Village’s festive closure dates.

ALL training at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village Track on those two dates will be cancelled, so only use the track if you’re taking part in the trials.

ESSAR CHESTER WALLS RACE FULL
More good news – the entry limit for this year’s Essar Chester Round the Walls Race has been reached.
A total of 500 competitors will line-up for the popular festive fixture being organised by the club from Chester Racecourse on Boxing Day (10.30am start).
Anyone not entered and wanting to help can email Dennis at: [email protected]

IMOGEN SCORES TOP MARKS
Our own Imogen Pugh celebrated success representing Wirral Grammar School in the latest round of the Merseyside Schools Cross Country League.
She clocked seven minutes six seconds for victory in the year seven girls race held at Wavertree, finishing nine seconds clear of her nearest rival, and now leads the overall standings with one league race remaining.
Pughe’s West Cheshire team mate, Lucia Pyne, represented West Kirby in the year eight and nine girls race, and finished eighth in 10:12, ahead of Abigail Cartwright (Wirral Grammar) who clocked 11:44. Well done girls.

ANEST EYES WELSH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Anest Mueller ran at Brecon in the Welsh Inter-Regional Cross Country Championships, where she finished 13th in the 111-strong field, and was fourth in her 35-44 age group over the challenging two-lap course ready for her appearance in the Welsh National Championships early next year.
