Five West Cheshire AC girls will compete at this year’s English Schools’ Track and Field Championships.

Sian Kelman, Kelly Baker, Bryony Potter, Alice Jennings, and Alice McMahon will all line-up for action at the Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield, for the prestigious two-day championships, on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11.
Upton High pupil Sian, who has just claimed the North of England Under 20 Ladies long jump title, will represent Cheshire in the Senior Girls 200m.
Kelly, from Bishops High, Chester, will attempt to continue her impressive form in the Junior Girls shot put competition.
Alice Jennings, a pupil at Chester Catholic High School, hopes to progress in the Junior Girls 75m hurdles.
Ellesmere Port Catholic High School pupil, Alice McMahon, will be looking to demonstrate her lightning pace in the Junior Girls 200m.
Little Sutton-based Bryony, a student at Wirral Grammar, will be aiming to impress for the Merseyside team in the Senior Girls 200m.
Other Chester and District-based pupils selected for the Cheshire squad include Whitby High’s Danielle Bentley (Intermediate Girls javelin); Victoria Anderson, from Queens, Chester, in the Intermediate Girls high jump; Harry Ellis, from Helsby, in the Senior Boys 1500m; and Matthew Spencer, from Kings, Chester, in the Junior Boys shot.
