Carl Van Schie posted a new personal best points total of 6,082 to finish 13th in the Hexham Combined Events International. Carl competed against athletes from Holland, Lithuania, USA, Tunisia and some of the best Great Britain decathletes including Dean Macey who was chasing 8000 points for the Olympic A standard.
Carlโs results included 11.76 seconds for his 100m, a long jump of 6.38m, a new best put of 10.86m in the shot, a 1-77m clearance in the high jump, and 51.21 seconds in the 400m.
Day two included a 17.40 seconds run in the 110m hurdles, a throw of 33.62m in the discus, a new best of 3-80m in the pole vault, and a time of 4:40.54 in the 1500m.
