RUNNERS are being urged to capitalise on an early bird offer for the Guilden Sutton 10k Road Race.
West Cheshire Athletic Club are organising the fixture on Sunday, September 21, which is now in it’s 42nd year and was formally known as the Sutton 6 and began as a 6-miler, becoming a 10k in 1993.
Runners are being presented with an early bird offer of a Β£3 discount for all entries before July 1.
The 10K start is about 500 metres from Guilden Sutton Village Hall (Race HQ, number/chip collection and where the finish is).
The course has two loops, the first 3.2K followed by a larger loop. The first 4.2K undulates, passing twice under and once over the A55 bypass, after which the course is fairly flat.
There is a drinks station at approximately 6.8K where the footpath is wide, the footpath then takes you to the lowest point of the course at 8K. There are then a couple of short rises to the finish at the Village Hall.
The race will be fixture 7 in the 2025 Cheshire AA Road Running Grand Prix series and the entry fee is Β£15 for UKA Affiliated Runners (Β£17 for non-affiliated runners).
