Sian Kelman crowned North of England Women’s champion.

The West Cheshire AC member claimed the under 20 women’s long jump title with 5.23m at the Northern Athletics Championships held at Sport City, Manchester.Sian who lives in Chester, was joined at the event by Ellesmere Port-based David McKay who secured fourth place in the men’s javelin event with a throw of 65.88m.
Emily Fisher finished fourth in the under 20 women’s javelin final with 29.80m.
Carl Van Schie secured fourth position in the Senior Men’s pole vault with a PB clearance of 3-90m and he posted 23.09 seconds in his heat of the 200m.
Bryony Potter posted 12.86 seconds for fifth position in the under 20 women’s 100m final after finishing third in her qualifying heat with 12.62 seconds.
And Bryony finished sixth in her 200m final in 26.10 seconds after clocking 25.98 seconds in her heat, while Shona Valentine posted 26.50 seconds in her heat.
Alec Beaney rounded the under 20 men’s 5000m in a time of 16 minutes 14.42 seconds for fifth position.
Niamh Reilly launched the javelin 36.95m for fifth position in the senior women’s competition, and Lauren Hunt spun the discus to a mark of 35.30m for seventh place in the senior women’s event.
