 Shell Chester Half Marathon

The race is sponsored by Shell and supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council Sports Development. It is run on an accurately measured course using rural roads with partial road closures to the south of the City, starting and finishing on grass at Chester Roodee Racecourse.
Course records: Men: Alan Shepherd, 2000, 1:04:36. Women: Lisa Heyes, 2003, 1:15:57
Race limit 2800, race sells out within weeks of entries opening.
In 2010 the race will be part of the Cheshire Grand Prix series.
There is also a 1 mile family fun run on grass around the inside of the race track.

Entries £16.00 Affiliated, £18.00 Unaffiliated, no entries on the day.

Each year a local charity is supported by the event and runners are invited to raise money for the nominated charity. The new ‘Relative Comfort’ appeal from the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was chosen for 2009.

Fun Run

1 mile family run on the inside of the race course, 09:45 start. Entries are taken on the day.  All fun run finishers receive an award.
