Shell Round the Walls Race

This multi-terrain race has had many variations of it's route since 1972. The distance is around 4.5 miles, starting on the Roodee and then running almost the full length along the path on top of the Roman City walls, weather dependant and finishing back on the Race Course.
A new course was used in 2007 due to a closure of a section of the Walls. We had hoped to have the use of the full circuit for the 2008 event but further instability discovered in April means last year’s course will be used again. Hopefully for 2009 we will be able to revert to the original course round the walls.
