Previous 5 K Races Archive
The same course from the Cheshire County Sports Club was used for both 5 K events as did the Race for Life event until 2001 when it had outgrown the venue.
Womens 5 K
First mooted for September 1994 it was postponed because of a clash of sports at the venue. The 1998 event was passed to the Race for Life organisation. They moved to Chester Rugby Club for 2002 and then the Zoo in 2003 for five years.

Open 5 K
After a successful Womens 5 K in June 1996 the Chairman proposed an Open 5 K to be held in August!
