West Cheshire A.C's 1st claim members are invited to the September Multi-terrain League, a Series of Races hosted by local clubs at different locations on the Wirral.

The Races are held on the first four Tuesdays of the month - the first two at 7.00pm - the second two at 6.30pm. The races are usually two lap courses of 4/4.5 miles, the U15 age group run one lap of 2/2.5 miles - both races starting together. The finish has separate funnels for females and males. Conditions of competition are below.

A separate open event to raise funds is held in May at Thurstaston Country Park. The arrangements are shared between clubs. West Cheshire's responsibility is the finish area.

1. This competition is only open to first claim members of UK:Athletic clubs amongst them are

Runners are requested to run in their recognised club colours.

2. Senior races will be between 6.5K & 8K
Minimum age on the night for senior (main) event is 15.
Junior (U.15 and over 12) races will be approximately 2 miles.

3. Each participating club must provide the League with a contact (name, address, telephone number and e-mail if possible) and provide a team manager for each race and one Marshall.

4. Trophies will be awarded for the series as a whole. The number of trophies per category will depend on entry.
Individual awards will be based on best position in three out of four races unless two or more athletes are on equal points then the fourth race score will be taken into account.
Age categories for individuals are as follows:

Female: U20, U30, U40, O40, O50
Male: U20, U30, U40, O40, O50, O60

Plus overall individual awards for best 3 female and male runners.

Teams are to score over all four races. Male teams will consist of 5 athletes. Female teams will consist of 3 athletes.
Should teams be on equal points then position of last scorer in last race will be used to allocate team position.

In addition to the above there will be spot prizes plus awards for the male and female winners of each race.

5. Juniors register separately and collect a number for the race. The number enables the marshals to divert them to the one lap finish. Junior medals based on best three out of four races, unless athletes are on equal points then the fourth race will be taken into account. Awards will go to first three males and females.
There will be no team awards only individual awards and spot prizes for juniors.

6. Entry fee of £1 per athlete per race, to be collected by each team manager and handed to League Treasurer at each race [Coin bag with results sheets].
Beyond expenses, monies raised are for trophies/medals and spot prizes.

7. Each team manager will need to collect athlete entry sheet plus results envelope from race HQ (Car) - cloakroom tickets being issued at finish. Completed envelopes are to be handed in to race HQ at end of each race - with the entry money!
