Junior Open Cross Country Races
West Cheshire AC uses its links with primary and secondary schools within Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston to encourage participation in cross-country. All the area schools are invited to a four-round series of informal races on a short, flat course at Cheshire Oaks High School, Ellesmere Port.

Each participating school should provide a representative at each round to register and pick up their runners’ race numbers. A representative could be a parent. The number must be pinned to the front of their vest or t-shirt.
Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each race.
A School Team event will also be held, with the first three finishers from each school scoring towards a total, by adding up the finishing positions.
A Team Event is a four-round competition, with scores being carried over from fixture to fixture, and the best three team scores from the four rounds counting.
